Global Settings - Mackie Control

Overview

The global settings for Mackie Control include port configuration and Mackie device type.

The port settings mirror those on Mackie buttons and dials. Changing a port in the global settings has the same effect as changing the same port on any Mackie button or dial. As for the button and dial configurations, the port dropdowns mark already-used ports in red, indicating that they cannot be used (since the Mackie protocol doesn't allow multiple devices to use the same ports).

The device type (main or extender) does not matter to the plugin but may have meaning for the connected daw. Before version 3.9, the device type had to be defined in the "StreamDeckMidiUserSettings.xml" file. If you have such a file, version 3.9 will migrate the settings to the global settings, and after that, the file is not used anymore.

When the Mackie global settings tab is displayed, all ports that are not configured are compressed to save space.

To reorder devices, click/hold a section header and drag and drop it where you want it. Please note that the values are reordered, not the device numbers. Dropping device 2 on device 1 will cause the port/type configuration from device 2 to be set for device 1, and the port/type configuration from device 1 will be shifted upwards (in this case, move to device 2).
