The plugin is installed from the Stream Deck store.
A number of Cubase related icons are bundled with the plugin and can be used when configuring both MIDI and key actions. The icons are located in the "Extras" folder in the installed plugin folder ("%appdata%\Elgato\StreamDeck\Plugins\se.trevligaspel.cubase.sdPlugin\Extras\Icons") and can also be downloaded from here
- Generic Remote template
A template for the Cubase Generic Remote device is bundled with the plugin and can be used to get a kick start in configuring the Generic remote device. The template is located in the "Extras" folder in the installed plugin folder ("%appdata%\Elgato\StreamDeck\Plugins\se.trevligaspel.cubase.sdPlugin\Extras\Generic Remote Template") and can also be downloaded from here
To import the template, click the Import button in the Generic Remote Setup window and select the file "GenericRemoteTemplate.xml". Once imported, click the Apply button.
- StreamDeck Profile
A StreamDeck Profile (for StreamDeck XL) is bundled with the plugin and can be used to get a kick start in configuring StreamDeck for Cubase. The profile is located in the "Extras" folder in the installed plugin folder ("%appdata%\Elgato\StreamDeck\Plugins\se.trevligaspel.cubase.sdPlugin\Extras\StreamDeck XL Profile") and can also be downloaded from here
The plugin has a log file where activities are logged. Under normal circumstances the logging is rather sparse but it can be boosted to show more details when troubleshooting is needed. To enable debug logging, simply create a trigger file. The file doesn't need to contain anything, the only thing that triggers the debug logging is the existence of the file.
- Trigger file: "%appdata%\Elgato\StreamDeck\Plugins\se.trevligaspel.cubase.sdPlugin\EnableLogging.txt"
- Log file: "%appdata%\Elgato\StreamDeck\Plugins\se.trevligaspel.cubase.sdPlugin\pluginlog.log"
If you want to report any problem with the plugin, it is a big help if you create the trigger file and then (if possible) restart the Stream Deck process. Please attach the pluginlog.log file to the problem report.
Please disable the debug logging when it is not required (by removing the EnableLogging.txt file).
