FAQ

Version history

version 2.0.2
  • Key Commands for localized characters on non-US keyboards are handled correctly. (Windows)
  • Bug fixes and performance enhancements.
version 2.0.0
  • The plugin is now available for Mac.
  • Improved handling of key commands on non-US keyboards (Windows only).
  • Better correlation between key command names in Nuendo and in the plugin (unfortunately only in English).
  • The possibility to enable extended logging is now exposed in the button editor (as a global setting affecting all plugin buttons).
  • Midi port names can now be changes.
  • Some bug fixes and minor design changes in the editor.
version 1.0.3
  • It is now possible to use multiple Generic Remotes in Nuendo.
If you have a large number of definitions in your Generic Remote setup or just want to organize things better you can create any number of Generic Remote devices in Nuendo and e.g. have Mixer functions in one of them, transport functions in another and so on.
Please see Advanced configuration for details.
  • Bug fix for a crash if Nuendo files include any of the characters $ €
version 1.0.2
  • If a Nuendo file (Key Commands or Generic Remote commands) included any of special characters   ˆ ¤ ½ `   the plugin failed to read the file. This is now corrected.
  • A Nuendo action placed in a Multi Action or Multi Action Switch could fail. This is now corrected but Nuendo actions in Multis have some limitations - please see the Multi Actions section for more details.
version 1.0.1
  • Midi actions could in the previous version display Midi configuration problems even though there weren't any. This is now fixed.
  • The Key Command action did not handle all key combinations correct. In particular key sequences including the Alt key and key sequences including arrow keys failed. This is now fixed.
  • Nuendo folder detection logic is changed (for systems with multiple Nuendo versions installed). The highest installed version should be detected but previously it could sometimes use the latest used version instead.
  • File and status management has improved detection for Nuendo file changes and describes potential problems better in the status dropdown for the action.
  • Changes to the 'StreamDeckNuendoUserSettings.xml' file now take effect immediately! Previously you needed to restart the Stream Deck process in order for changes to be activated, but now this is automatic and immediate.
  • The only instance of the 'StreamDeckNuendoUserSettings.xml' file that is accessed is now the one in your Documents folder (if present). The file in the plugin folder is only available as a template and is never accessed by the plugin.
  • The Stream Deck profile bundled with the plugin now target Nuendo and not Cubase (sorry about that).
